Applied Technology Equipping Students for Success in a Dynamic Society
Welcome to the Applied Technology class offered to middle school students in your school district. We hope that this will be one of the most exciting and interesting classes that students will take. The class is designed to allow students to explore as many areas of technology as possible in the time and space available. The teachers will be guides or facilitators rather than lecturers. Reading, writing, problem-solving, science and math skills should improve as students complete this course. This class truly is one where class members get information out of it equal to the effort they put into it. Applied Technology is offered to 7th and 8th grade students in each middle school one semester each school year. |

Equipping Students For Success

Technology is all around us, and this course will help students understand and use it. Technology involves the practical application and use of reading, writing, problem-solving, science and math, all skills that are being learned in other classes. Students will be required to read and write as part of each module, and they will see how their math and science knowledge is applied to everyday life. |
